Breakfast club is a fantastic way to prepare pupils for the start of the school day! Breakfast club is run by an experience staff team including Julie Green (Breakfast club leader), Christine Hudson, Jackie Barry and Denise Martin (Finance). For just £2 a day, pupils can take part in a range of activities before school.
From 7.30am every morning, breakfast club welcomes pupils from reception to year 6. Pupils have access to a healthy breakfast, including cereal, toast, fresh fruit, egg, yoghurt and porridge. This is available until 8.15am.
On Mondays and Wednesday mornings, pupils can sign up to play basketball with a fully qualified coach. Sue Massey runs ‘reading buddies’ on Tuesday and craft club on a Wednesday for pupils in breakfast club. Throughout the session, all pupils have access to a range of independent activities including games, arts and ICT.
Breakfast club leaders
A number of children in upper KS2 have been appointed as breakfast club leaders. Their role is to support younger pupils, organise activities and act as role models within the club.
