Star Primary School DFE Performance Tables

Children undertake tests and tasks at the end of year 2, when they are 7 and at the end of Year 6, when they are 11. These results are used to inform teachers of the strengths and areas for development for your child as they move into the next Key Stage.

Scale score 100 means that pupils have met the expected standard for Year 6.

Scale score 110 means that pupils are working at greater depth and exceeding national expectations.

Phonics teaching remains a key strength in KS1 with the school consistently meeting or exceeding the national average since the implementation of the test. Our 2016 year 1 phonics result was in line with national at 81%. Girls in particular performed well with 6% above the national attainment and disadvantaged 5 % above.

By the end of year 2, 94% of pupils have passed their phonics test. This is 3% higher than the national 91%.
