Yesterday in Early Years we had a very special guest from ZooLab who brought along her friends from all across the world for our young pupils to meet and interact with! There was Simon the tree frog who breathes through his skin and eats using his tongue and eyes, Susan the super friendly hissing cockroach from Madagascar, Peter the 5 year old giant African land snail who despite being one of the largest snails in the world was still very shy, Lucy the tarantula who remained in her box but still seemed happy to be there, a Shongololo millipede who helps the planet by being a natural recycler and finally George the sensitive corn snake from America who was just a baby but still around 1 metre long!
The children were very brave with many of them holding the different animals and observing their different traits and appearances.
