During the build up to Christmas we were treated to some amazing Christmas activities to get us all in the festive mood! We had A Little Nativity put on by our little Reception children, The Donkey Seller by year 1, A Way In A Manger by year 2 and a beautiful Christmas Carol Concert by year 3. Each year group put on two performances and every one was just as professional and spectacular as the last!
Once again our Year 4 children have been sending shooting stars into the community. This Christmas we sent gift hampers to the elderly members of Canning Town. In school they were thinking about loneliness and how it affects elderly people. This has given them a valuable insight into the true meaning of charity work, particularly at this time of the year. To help raise money for the hampers year 4 held a cake sale in which we raised over £400.00!!!
Our year 5 and 6 children went out carol singing into the community and despite the poor weather conditions, still were able to put smiles on the faces of those who went by.
Even our Nursery children got involved, putting on an adorable mini-Christmas show and were rewarded with many Christmas activities and a special guest appearance from a very jolly fellow!
