‘On World Book Day, some of our year 3 and 4 pupils went on a super exciting trip to Stratford library where they got to meet children’s author Joanne Nadin and illustrator Rikin Parekh.
Joanne had a lovely chat with the children about her books, the ideas behind her writing and highlighted the importance of reading.
The children were in awe of the marvelous work of Rikin Parekh who drew characters from the novels and with the help of the children, made up a few new ones on the spot.
Our pupils did Star proud with their superb etiquette and the visit was rounded off nicely with a book signing for each child.
We certainly have a few budding authors and illustrators, in lower key stage 2, who were greatly impressed with Ms Nadin and Mr Parekh. Thank you children, well done and Happy World Book Day 2022.’
