Year 6 had a super adventurous trip to Outward Bounds in the Lake District where we took part in a range of challenging activities such as mountain and rock climbing, gorge-walking, canoeing and ‘jog and dip’ in the lake! Slightly less challenging was toasting marshmallows around a fire! We showed self-belief, confidence, resilience and independence throughout the many challenges – qualities we are working to develop in preparation for secondary school.
We excelled ourselves by demonstrating co-operation, support, good teamwork and problem solving to ensure we were all successful in our tasks. Everyone was incredibly proud of Year 6, and we feel that this experience has helped us to realise that anything is possible, if we put our mind to it.
