We had the pleasure of having the WonderDome at school today to conduct workshops with some of our year groups learning about space, light and states of matter. The children went on an exciting journey to space, exploring it’s near perfect vacuum containing a low density of particles as well as electromagnetic radiation, magnetic fields, and cosmic rays. The children explored the stars, planets and how and when the moon was discovered. The moon has not been explored for 50 years so we had some enthusiastic children volunteering to be the next humans to step on the rocky moon itself!
