Thursday 5th March was World Book Day in the UK, children from all over the country went to school dressed as beloved book characters. Here at Star we had such a variety of characters from Cats in Hats to Gangsta Grannies and The Queen of Hearts to Little Red Riding Hood! The costumed assemblies where filled with diversity and creativity, some of the home-made were simply inspiring!!! We also used this day to do some shared reading between year groups, with year 2 visiting the early years to read with the Reception children and year 4 teaming up with year 1.
For lunch we had a book theme menu which included a Gruffalo Roast and The Mad Hatter’s surprise soup of the day!
