Last Friday, the Year 6 children went for a guided visit to the University of East London – Docklands Campus.
The children were involved in three different activities and had an interesting tour of the Campus. One activity consisted in sorting out some commonly-used products as recyclable or general waste; this was engaging and very informative. Another task was creating jewellery and small sculptures made out of modelling clay. The children really enjoyed this activity, and were allowed to take their final products home! Finally, the children were shown around a laboratory, were 3D printers are used to create prototypes. This was a fun visit, which introduced the children to future possibilities and careers.
